This website is made by amateurs who love the history of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, of the Millerite movement, and of this great country. Staff includes children (adventurers and pathfinders (similar to boy scouts)), engineers, architects, mathematicians, physicists, designers, ministers, antiquarians, and physicians. Although amateurs, all staff are experts in some field of knowledge.

The main purpose of this website is to provide detailed contextual information to support the work of students of Adventist thought and history. The students targeted range from children pathfinders to professionals.

The special purpose of this work is to provide background information on Ellen White’s books, maps and diagrams to better appreciate the scope of action of the pioneers, description of the buildings who had an important bearing on the history of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and aphorisms from Ellen White’s writings. 

Another intention of this website is to refer the reader to the E.G.White Estate resources: egwwritings.org, Center for Adventist Research, etc.

As to the contents of this website, there will be new articles periodically, so please register to the email list!

Also, articles will be updated regularly as information elements are found, or new scholarship produced, or new references relevant to the text, added. In this sense, the corpus of this website is developed with the spiral method of development of computer science algorithms.

Our stance regarding references in the text follows a modified “Waldensian reference method”. References aren’t placed immediately after the quoted text. To enhance readability and retentive, and decrease text cluttering , literature references are placed at the end of each article. Granted, this complicates readily identifying the linkage between the text and reference, but at the gained benefit of a smoother text.
